Renewing your Utah real estate license doesn’t have to be complicated — but missing a deadline or misunderstanding the CE requirements can put your license at risk. Here’s exactly what you need to know, including how to use MyLicenseOne to track your renewal status.
Utah Real Estate License Renewal Requirements
Utah real estate sales agent licenses must be renewed every two years. To renew, you must complete 18 hours of continuing education (CE), including:
- 9 hours of mandatory courses (required by the Utah Division of Real Estate)
- 9 hours of elective courses
CE courses must be completed before your license expiration date. You cannot renew a license with outstanding CE requirements.
Your license renewal date is tied to when you were originally licensed. If you’re unsure of your renewal deadline, log in to MyLicenseOne (see below) to check your current license status and expiration date.
What Is MyLicenseOne?
MyLicenseOne is the Utah Division of Real Estate’s online portal for managing your real estate license. You can use it to:
- Check your license status and expiration date
- View your continuing education completion records
- Submit your renewal application and pay the renewal fee
- Update your contact information
- Check the status of pending applications
Access MyLicenseOne at secure.utah.gov/account// through the Utah Division of Real Estate website. You’ll need to create or log in to a Utah.gov account to access the portal.
How to Renew Your Utah Real Estate License
Follow these steps to complete your renewal:
- Complete your 18 CE hours before your license expiration date. IREE offers all required and elective courses online, self-paced.
- Log in to MyLicenseOne at the Utah Division of Real Estate website.
- Verify your CE credits appear in your account. CE providers report completions to the state — allow a few days after course completion for records to update.
- Submit your renewal application and pay the renewal fee. As of 2026, the sales agent renewal fee is $72 (timely renewal).
- Download your renewed license from the portal once approved.
Late Renewal and License Reinstatement
If your license expires before you renew, you have a grace period to complete a late renewal. The late renewal fee is $154 (as of 2026). You cannot practice real estate on an expired license — not even in a limited capacity.
If your license has been expired for more than 30 days, you may need to apply for reinstatement rather than a simple renewal. Check the Utah Division of Real Estate website or your MyLicenseOne account for current requirements.
Completing CE Requirements for Renewal
