1133 N Main St #150
Layton UT 84041
Born in Munich Germany while his parents were on assignment for the United States Air Force, Steve has lived and traveled all over the US. He attended San Jacinto College in Pasadena Texas on a track scholarship, went to The University of Houston and Brigham Young University majoring in business. He moved from Houston Texas to Utah in 1979. Steve took over managing a flailing snack food company in 1985, increased production 800% in just over 4 weeks and helped take the company to over $55,000,000.00 in annual sales in 7 years.
Steve Morrow started in the mortgage industry with Norwest Mortgage in February of 1996 and within the first year was in the top 10% in mortgage originations for the company. He learned mortgages by initially working on loans that his superiors said couldn’t be done. Steve was able to close many of these difficult loans by fervently studying all of the guidelines for FHA, Conventional and VA loans. Steve was very quickly seen as an expert on mortgage rules and guidelines. Mortgage loan officers with many more years of experience would seek his advice on how to structure loans with Nehemiah Grants, Utah Housing Loans, and many other similar programs. Within 3 years of starting in the profession Steve put together a unique computer program that would help Real Estate Agents structure a purchase contract that would allow for a home buyer to come to closing with zero out of pockets costs, enabling agents to have smoother transactions with grant/Utah Housing type programs.
Steve is known for developing a close relationship with his customers and for having an incredible repeat clientele.
Steve is a licensed pilot, and an avid racquetball player. He is a certified High School Volleyball referee and plays volleyball 2-3 evenings per week. When not with clients, in the gym or on the court, Steve can be found riding his bike on the Rio Grande trail that runs through Salt Lake, Davis and Weber counties.

The course covers Fair Housing laws that have been put in place for the protection of the consumer. In this class you will learn what laws and regulations govern discrimination in real estate transactions, and how to protect your brokerage against allegations of discriminatory practice.
This course includes Utah’s 21 ethical mistakes that could be justification for disciplinary action, including failure to disclose material facts, net listings, advertising errors, public auctions, client money diversion, undisclosed dual agency, unlawful signs, just to name a few.
The material is presented on a level that will educate even the most seasoned agent but will still be valuable to the novice.
This course is based on Utah laws governing licensed property managers, landlords and tenants. The leases used are described and explained. Utah Landlord Tenant law is presented including the duties of a landlord to keep a property habitable and the tenant to pay rent and comply with lease terms. The process of eviction both for the landlord and the tenant is discussed. Anyone who will own or manage rental property should take this class.
This course provides an overview of Utah laws governing brokerage office operations including records, trust account management, licenses, and what must happen when a company losses it’s broker. If you are thinking of becoming a broker, are already a broker or just want to understand your broker, this is the class for you. You will be able to operate your office within the law, avoiding many common pitfalls that cause brokers to have problems with regulators.
This course explains the Utah law governing keeping The Division of Real Estate informed of changes in the agents’ circumstances and requirements for license renewal.
Since almost all notices to the Division can be given electronically it is important for the agent to understand the process that Utah has set up for the information transfer. This includes keeping our licenses in force, tracking the CE that has been recorded to our account, notifications of movement form one broker to another, name changes, address changes. Any failure to notify could come back to you as a violation and publication in the quarterly newsletter. You need to know this information.
This course describes the Utah Fractionalized Estate or TIC (Tenant in Common) Law and its required disclosures, Utah’s Water Law and water appropriation procedures and The Utah Mechanics Lien law and lien procedures. These laws can each cause you trouble if you do not fully understand both their purpose and the process by which they are enforced. You exposure as an agent to liability is real if you do not come to the table prepared with the foundation this class provides.
The course is an overview of NAR Code of Ethics Articles 1-9, and reviews the ways agency practices can build trust with clients and customers. These are basic principles taught by an instructor that really understands agency and the agent client relationship. These simple concepts will build that relationship so that you can get referrals, and repeat business the way truly successful agents do.
